What to Include in a Copyright Page?

Components of a copyright page include:

  • Publisher’s address

  • Creative Commons statement (if applicable)

  • Copyright notice—including, if applicable, copyright dates of previous editions and indication of copyright renewal or other changes, and followed by the statement “All rights reserved” and related language

  • Publication date, including publishing history

  • Country of printing

  • Impression line, indicating number and year of current printing

  • International Standard Book Number (ISBN) for each available format (e.g., hardcover, paper, ebook)

  • A digital object identifier (DOI), if any

  • For translations, indication of original-language title, publisher, and copyright

  • Acknowledgments, permissions, and other credits, including Bible translations (search the publisher’s website for “Permissions”), design credits and acknowledgment of grants, if applicable

  • Any disclaimers or other notices about the content of the book

If you incorporate Scripture in your work, you must include a permissions statement for each translation used, with the primary translation first. The translation publisher has a permissions page on their website that provides the text verbatim. Copy and paste it into your copyright page. Here is a sample of a copyright page:
